Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect on your visit to the farm:

Thanks for letting us know you plan to join us for an event! Here are a few things you should know to make your outing more enjoyable:

Need to know: Since this is a working farm, we have boundaries set around the venue to make sure our working farm can keep working and to ensure you have a good, safe time. Please be respectful of these boundaries and be aware that--as our state-required agritourism signs say--when you visit this agritourism destination, you come at your own risk.

If you are coming for a pizza night: While our wood-fired pizza oven is pretty darn large and our pizza crew is very good and fast, you still may have to wait a while for your pizzas. In the meantime, you can order from our small plates or shareable appetizers to start the evening and keep the hangries at bay. We have a full-service bar and will also provide plenty of water. Please do not bring your own alcohol, soda, or plastic water bottles with you—though you’re welcome to bring your own refillable water bottles. Please see drop down item below for more pizza night info.

We’re so glad you plan to join us at Juniper Hill Farm & Table. Our farm is your farm for a golden moment. We look forward to seeing you!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are located at Juniper Hill Farm & Table, 1547 N 2000 Rd, Lawrence, KS 66044

  • Please use our Eventbrite page to confirm a Pizza Night reservation View our upcoming Pizza Nights on the Pizza Nights page.

Special events may use an alternate reservation system but will be announced in advance.

  • We accept cash, cards, and gift cards.

  • You can help us better control the timing of your food and drinks by following these instructions:

    1. On arrival, check out the food and drink menus and decide which items you’d like.

    2. Go to the hostess station to open your tab.

    3. Order your drinks and food. We recommend ordering your whole meal for the evening—appetizer, salad, pizza, dessert, drinks—in one trip to the hostess station. You’ll receive a ticket for each item you order which you'll take to the bar or to the food prep folks at the back of the barn (i.e. drop off appetizers and cocktails first, then salad station, then pizzas and more drinks, then dessert) You can control the rollout of your evening’s food and drinks this way. You can order more items by going back to the hostess station, or a server may come by to take your additional orders. If it turns out you ordered a bit more than you could eat and you have unused tickets, go to the hostess station and we can deduct those items from your tab.

    4. Along with your food and drink tickets you may be given a pager which will ring when your item is ready. Please listen for your pager and go to the food prep station to pick up your salad, pizza and/or dessert. When all your orders are complete, return your pager here.

    5. IMPORTANT: When you’re ready to leave, please stop at the hostess station to close your tab.

    6. If you forget to close your tab we’ll go ahead and close it for you and will add an 18% tip.

  • We are an agritourism destination and you’ll be dining in our barn, on our limestone patio, or picnicking on the lawn. None of our spaces are conditioned. Depending on the season, it may be hot or cold (or sometimes both in the same day!). We recommend packing layers as the weather may change throughout your time at the farm. There are plenty of covered spaces to dine and lounge in our historic barn. Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable outside: bug spray, picnic blankets, and sunscreen are a few that come to our mind.

  • For the comfort and safety of our guests and staff—and so we don’t serve you a soggy pizza—we reserve the right to cancel Pizza Night in the event of rain or threat of serious weather. We’ll do our very best to follow the forecasts and let you know by email several hours in advance of the event. We’ll also do our very best to give you priority when it comes to reserving future available Pizza Night dates. That said, If you don’t hear from us—and if there’s just a little light drizzle—then assume there will be a rainbow at some point in the evening and come on out for drinks and pizza. We do have plenty of indoor seating!

  • While we love all furry friends, they are not allowed at our venue.

  • Even though we’re close to town, you’ll still be driving on a few miles of gravel road to get to the farm. Sorry—there’s no way but the gravel! Just keep an eye out for the occasional pothole and you’ll be at our place in no time. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see a long gravel driveway with juniper trees on both sides. Come on in and take a left at the fork in the drive.

Your parking spot awaits in the mowed pasture. Please do not drive around the front of the house unless you require ADA parking. Once inside the pasture, signage will direct you to park along the fence line and then walk to an opening in the fence. From there you will see the big red barn ahead of you where Juniper Hill Farm & Table has its home.

  • Shaded picnic table seating is available on our patio (where the pizza magic happens) or under our giant Sycamore tree (a whole other kind of magic). If you prefer picnicking on the grounds, literally, feel free to bring your own blankets to spread out on the lawn.

  • We’ve got two porta potties, one of which is ADA accessible. There will be a hand-washing station readily available by the porta potties and a hand-washing sink located at the front of the barn by the patio.

  • Yes! Our barn is ADA accessible and we’ll have an ADA porta potty on site. ADA parking is available close to the barn. Please let us know in advance if needing additional accommodations.
